Will real estate agents only show you houses that are listed with their agency?
I am thinking of buying my first home, and was wondering if real estate agents only show homes listed with them. Or do they search other agency’s listing for a possible match. Also, do you sign a contract with a particular agent and only use them to find a home.
a good agent will show you houses regardless of what agency they are listed with. there is a realty service that list all houses on the market regardless of where they are listed. since he works on commission his goal is to get you to buy. the more houses he can show you the better chance he can sell you one
normally you don’t sign with an agent until you actually make an offer on a house. most of the time the agent is working for free hoping that you find the house you want while working with him
