Is it illegal for me to share an online article that has been sourced and linked?
I usually send out messages regarding real estate news found on cnn.com to my Facebook real estate group members. Today, like always, I sent a message with an article pasted directly from the website with the author, date published, and link the original article included and received an email from a group member saying I was “pirating copyrighted material.” IS THIS TRUE?? If it is 100% cited and completely unedited, why do they make the info so easy to share with the “share to FB” option. PLEASE HELP!
as long as you link the authors source at the end of the article you are ok.
